First the Poms lost the empire, then they lost their judgment. (Highly likely the silly buggers will give Gordon Brown the benefit of the doubt!?!?)

POP star Kylie Minogue is the most powerful celebrity in Britain, a study by a U.K. market research firm Millward Brown revealed Thursday.

"The 10 most powerful celebrities were Minogue, Cole, Beckham, TV presenters Ant and Dec, actress Joanna Lumley, radio and TV presenter Terry Wogan, celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, Clooney, actor Sean Connery and actress Helen Mirren."

no politicians, astrophysicists, philosophers, Hitchenses or Dawkins ... and are they using this supposed 'power' for the forces of good or evil?
Millward & Brown clearly not asking the right people the right questions.

I've seen Minogue in action. She can drag a fifteen ton truck along the road with her teeth. A truck without wheels! When she takes her makeup off she's got a face like a hod-carrier's elbow.

The cost of retaining the so called empire was strangling the British economy in the 1940s.
Ex commonweath countries had bled the British taxpayer to the limit. Monetary handouts to bludging commonwealth countries were classified as unnecessary silent imports.
Britain has enough economic woes, tradition and unnecessary stupid kowtowing to dingbat headed authorities from the local squire to the Royal pikers will see them eventually become the new impoverished India.

RE: John Fartagain.
